Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 21, 2026
BTB Fitness & Health ("BTB," "we," "us," or "our") is designed to help users manage fitness, nutrition, coaching, education, race training, and connected health data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Data collection
We may collect information you provide directly, information generated through your use of the app, and information from connected services you authorize. This may include your name, email address, profile settings, role, fitness goals, workout logs, nutrition logs, water logs, shopping lists, progress reports, support requests, device information, provider connection status, and app usage events needed to operate and improve BTB.
Apple Health integration
BTB may request permission to read or write selected Apple Health data through HealthKit, such as workouts, steps, active energy, heart rate, sleep, body measurements, hydration, and related fitness metrics. Apple Health data is accessed only after you grant permission in iOS. You can change Health permissions at any time in the Apple Health app or iOS Settings.
We do not sell Apple Health data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except as needed to provide app features you request or as required by law.
Firebase Authentication
BTB uses Firebase Authentication to create and manage user accounts, sign-in sessions, identity tokens, and role-based access. Firebase Authentication may process your email address, unique user ID, authentication provider, login timestamps, and security metadata used to protect your account.
Firestore
BTB uses Cloud Firestore to store app data linked to your user ID, such as profile details, member and trainer records, workout assignments, nutrition entries, progress data, reminders, connection status, saved gyms, race/event records, and reports. Firestore records are intended to be protected by Firebase security rules and authenticated user scope.
Location services
BTB may request location access for features such as nearby gym search, outdoor workouts, routes, weather, event discovery, distance calculations, and directions. Location data is used only when you grant permission and only for features that need it. You can disable location access in your device settings.
Camera and photos
BTB may request camera or photo library access for features such as progress photos, profile photos, body scanning, barcode scanning, and photo meal logging. Photos may be uploaded to Firebase Storage when you choose to save or share them in the app. You control whether camera or photo permissions are granted.
Notifications
BTB may request permission to send push notifications for reminders, coaching prompts, scheduled workouts, check-ins, habit reminders, medication reminders, hydration reminders, and account or support updates. You can manage notification settings in the app or through your device settings.
Health and fitness data
Health and fitness data may include workouts, activity, calories, heart rate, sleep, weight, body measurements, hydration, nutrition, recovery, goals, progress photos, training history, and coach notes. BTB is designed to show real saved or connected data only. If a data source is not connected or permissions are missing, BTB should show a not-connected state instead of fake values.
Wearable integrations
BTB may support wearable and health platform integrations such as Apple Health, Garmin, Samsung Health, and other compatible providers. These integrations require your authorization and may be subject to each provider’s own privacy policy, permissions, and developer terms. BTB stores synced data only as needed to provide app features and connection history.
Third-party APIs
BTB may connect to third-party APIs for features such as weather, gym discovery, event/race discovery, nutrition lookup, barcode lookup, payments, subscriptions, maps, wearable sync, AI-assisted coaching, support, analytics, or crash reporting. These services may receive the minimum information needed to complete the requested action, such as a location query, barcode, event search, payment session, or provider token.
Cookies and website data
The BTB marketing website is designed as a lightweight static site. We may use essential cookies or similar technologies if needed for hosting, security, analytics, forms, or deployment tools. If analytics or advertising tools are added later, this policy should be updated to describe those tools and any opt-out options.
Account deletion
You may request account deletion through the app or by contacting support. Deletion requests may include removing Firebase Authentication records, Firestore profile and app data, Firebase Storage photos, and related user-scoped records where legally and technically permitted. Some records may be retained if required for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or fraud prevention.
Children’s privacy
BTB is not intended for children under 13 years old, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete the information where appropriate.
Data security
We use technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect user data, including authenticated access, Firebase security rules, secure provider tokens where applicable, and limited access to production systems. No internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security, but BTB is designed to reduce unnecessary data exposure and avoid fake or hidden data practices.
User rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, object to, or delete personal information. You may also be able to withdraw permissions for health, location, camera, photos, and notifications through your device settings. To make a privacy request, contact us using the email below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app, website, integrations, or legal requirements change. The "Last updated" date above shows when this page was most recently revised.
